Our Parent and Carer Survey 2021
We have completed the Parent and Carer Survey for this year. It was lovely to read all the comments. You can download and read the full survey here. Thank you so much for taking the time to complete it.
Hayfield is a local authority, specialist school that strives to bring the highest quality of teaching and learning to pupils with social communication needs/autism, (including some with mainstream ability), or to pupils with moderate learning difficulties, (often with additional needs). But most importantly, we ensure that every child is respected and treated as an individual. We try our very best to see the world as the child sees it, and work from their starting point.
We have had National Autistic Society Accreditation for over 13 years and our last OFSTED inspection rated us as Good with Outstanding Practice in our Early Years provision. Currently children need to have an Educational Health Care Plan to be considered by Wirral Authority for a place at Hayfield. We use a variety of approaches to ensure the children learn to the best of their ability, within a caring and close-knit community. We provide structure, and routine. We provide an eclectic mix of specialist approaches, including looking at children’s sensory and emotional needs. We provide an interesting and exciting curriculum, that we hope enables children to grow up with skills for life, as part of a local, national, and global community.
Our most valued feature is our warm and fun-loving ethos and the inclusion of our whole school community. We love to welcome current families and visitors to our school, and look forward to welcoming those of you visiting our site for the first time if you feel that this may be the school for you also.
“ It is every child’s right to be healthy, to be educated, to be treated fairly, to be heard, and to have a childhood protected from violence, abuse and exploitation.” UN Convention on the Rights of the Child
